Combating Stress At Work

Work is often one of the most stressful areas of our life. We often face high-pressure situations, relenting work and unexpected challenges. While animals have a built in mechanism to shake off stress and return to homeostasis we often can remain in states of stress to the point that it becomes part of our daly life.

When we find ourselves struggling to sleep, complaining, negative self talk, worry, continuously trying to figure out problems and overworking, we are in states of stress.

In these states we are unable to think clearly or make the best judgments, miss opportunities, become reactive or lose our will and drive. We are not showing up as our best self.

Breathwork is a holistic mind-body transformational experience that instantly elevates you to peak levels of focus, clarity and creativity. It's the quickest way to change your state of being. You can go from stressed to relaxed, from anxious and nervous to feeling in control, go from feeling depressed to blissfully happy for no reason at all. If we can change our state to something that is constructive and resourceful, then it’s easier to change our thoughts and behaviours which will lead to a better experience of life.

These programs provide the science of stress and its impact on your health, wellbeing and performance. And provide practical tools to cultivate attention, regulate emotion, reducing stress and fostering well-being. These are delivered as 2 hour sessions, half day or full day training.

Lunch and Learns

Take a time out from work and experience a one hour breathwork session to revitalise, refocus and reenergise your team. You can also run these on a fortnightly basis to experience the long term health benefits of breathwork.

Research study into the effects of breathwork on the brain

A research study was conducted to determine the impact of a 22 minute SOMA breathwork session on the brain. The study looked at how breathwork compared to clinical psychedelics at reducing the activity of the default mode network to eliminate mind chatter and worry.

As well as the impact of breathwork on gamma brain waves which give us peak perception and function, also known as flow states. If your brain produces high levels of gamma waves, you tend to be happier and more receptive. You may also have a higher intelligence quotient or IQ and better concentration.
